Foldscope

What Is A Foldscope?

Foldscope is the ultra-affordable paper microscope that began as an idea to make science more accessible. It was designed to be portable and durable, while performing on par with conventional research microscopes (140X magnification and 2 micron resolution). It has reached over 1 million people and created a global community of explorers unlike any other!

What Can You See With A Foldscope?

You can view very tiny things like bacteria, blood cells, and single-celled organisms. As well as larger things like insects, fabrics, organic tissues, and more! View the Foldscope galleries for more of what you can view, and visit Microcosmos, to see what people around the world are exploring.
